Classes are currently on hold and will begin in the Summer of 2011. Thank you for your understanding...

We will be having a variety of classes in the future. Classes will be added as knowledgeable and experienced instructors are found. We will be adding the following classe's in the future, so check back regularly for updates.

If you are qualified to be an instructor in any of these subjects, please contact us about teaching a class.

Note: All Classes will be held in Pearland, Location depends on Class, a map and address will be sent upon reservation
Classes may also be canceled and rescheduled if we do not have enough participants.

Jan. 25, 2010 Monday Canning: Jams and Jellies

Learn how to make Jams and Jellies quickly and inexpensively. Class taught by Cathi Bray who has canning for many years and also has taught classes regulary over the years to new "canners". Each attendee will take home a recipe, hand-out and jar of jelly.

Feb. 20, 2010 Saturday Sausage Making 101

Learn how to process meat, season for taste, stuff in casings and much more. Phil Starks the instuctor has many years of sausage making under his belt and has offered to share his knowledge on making great sausage.

Location: Santa Fe, Texas

Fees: $30.00 Individual/ $40.00 Couple

Max. Registered Attendees: 12

Snacks and Drinks provided. Feel free to bring a sack lunch. Please come appropriately attired, due to this is a hands-on class. We are asking that children not attend due to the amount of information needed to be shared in a small time frame and the lack of kid-friendly activities available.

I realize that if I RSVP or pay for a class that I am agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions.

1) If I RSVP or pay for a class, I have up until 1 week before the class to cancel and receive a complete refund.

2) If I RSVP or pay for a class, I can cancel up until 72 hours before the class and receive a partial refund. You would receive total class price minus the RSVP amount posted since some materials will be purchased already.

3) If I RSVP or pay for a class, and I cancel less than 72 hours before the class there will not be any refund, except on "extreme" circumstances. "Extreme" circumstances is up to Bay Area Homesteading to grant as we have to work with our instructors.

4) We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not receive a enough participation. We will however make any cancelations a week before the class and return all fees paid if we have to cancel a class.

5) Classes are likely to be held where there are animals and other products. If you have a allergy to cats, dogs, nuts, etc. Please contact us before the class. We are not responsible for any adverse affects to to allergies.

I apologize for the lack of current classes scheduled. Most of my time is currently being split between my son's soccer, PTA, HLSR Go Texan Committee events and planning the farmer's market that I have not been able to concentrate on getting us qualified teachers we need to come and teach classes in our area.
